If you think for one moment that the Democrats(who can now filibuster in The Senate, and who are only a half a dozen or so seats down in the House) are going to stand by and let Dubya get his legislative wishes; then you must really be living on another planet. Though Clinton was President for eight years, the Democrats only controlled all three branches of government until his first mid-term election. Of course when the Democrats had control of all three branches, they accomplished - nothing. But, after Gingrich was annointed Speaker of The House, Clinton could get nothing through Congress because he was hampered by a Republican controlled Senate that was stonewalling his Federal Judiciary appointments; A House of Representatives that was Republican led by an uncooperative Republican leadership; and an endless series of 'fishing expeditions' into Whitewater, The Travel Office Firings, and The Lewinski Affair. And now the Republicans want to kiss and make up??? I predict that Dubya will get the shortest Honeymoon on record. And that the Democrats in both houses will merely pay lip service to his faulty Presidential legislation. His appointments to the Federal Benches will be blocked. After all OPEC just laughed in his face!!! In four years...the Democrats will once again control all three branches of the Federal government. That is, if we survive the next four years of Dubya. jim campaigner@usa.net James Dusewicz ____________________________________________________________________ Get free email and a permanent address at http://www.netaddress.com/?N=1
